GGM - April 8th

It was a full house at GGM last night with Kristin, Jean, Lynn and myself all in the crafting quarters. Lynn finished up another beer apron, Jean taught us how to make super chic scarves out of old t-shirts (see photos above), Kristin supervised and kept Noah happy (see photo below) and I continued to work on my Emotions books for Angus and practiced making purses with zippers.

Putting the Craft back into Kleenex

I recently purchased a box of "tissue" (as you can see in the photo it is Field Day not Kleenex), and I really did not at all care for the look of the box. I just happened to have saved a cardboard box that was just the right size to cover a tissue box. I decoupaged a few images onto the box (carrot pic from a magazine, a picture of Angus and me, and a sticker from my new favorite shop in the Pike Place Market - Tenzing Momo). And voila - I have a new tissue box cover. Never again will I be plagued by an ugly tissue box.

GGM - 3/25/11

It was another successful craft night at Postville. Lynn worked on a Safe Sex Pillow (Green is Sexy!), Kristin wowed us all with her super cute yoga mat bag - made from an old pair of yoga pants (see photos) and Sadie (moi) altered a pair of "new" jeans and worked on the Emo book for Angus. We missed Jean last night who (gasp!) had other plans.
